I just recently rescued a Catahoula Leopard Dog puppy that had been dumped. He is the smartest dog I have ever met, very affectionate, incredibly quick to train, responds well to correction, hes polite with other dogs, mild mannered, and he sleeps a ton.

We have a female Catahoula who is almost five years old. She is the smartest dog I have ever had the privilege of owning. She is very protective, sweet, energetic, funny, and a wonderful ESA. She enjoys walks, fetching, etc.

My dog is a Catahoula Lab mix, rescue dog. Brindle coat, sheds a lot. The Catahoula genes are very strong. He is smart, loyal, and loving to all family members. Gentle, soft mouth, with a lot of energy. Highly recommend this breed for families.

This site give a good details and you can learn a lot about this breed. But their isn't recommended as a first dog. They are super smart and have a really good senses, they are hunted dog. don't call the female as bitch...

This page does not properly describe Catahoulas. They're not dogs for first-time owners! They have a great sense of smell since they track and head cows and hogs.
